Overview

Ocean freight is the backbone of global trade — ideal for high-volume, non-urgent cargo moving between continents. We arrange port-to-port and door-to-door shipments, handle container logistics, and coordinate customs and inland connections for smooth multimodal transport.

Our Ocean Freight Services

Full Container Load (FCL)

Dedicated container for your cargo. FCL is recommended when you have enough volume to fill a container, when you want reduced handling, or when faster port processing is needed.

Less-than-Container Load (LCL) / Consolidation

Economical consolidation for smaller shipments. We group multiple shippers’ cargo into a single container and manage deconsolidation at the destination to optimize cost.

Breakbulk & Non-Containerised Cargo

Handling for oversized, heavy or project cargo that cannot fit in standard containers. We provide lift planning, stowage engineering and port-handling coordination.

Reefer & Temperature-Controlled Solutions

Sea freight options for perishable goods with full temperature monitoring, pre-cool and specialized stuffing/unstuffing at controlled facilities.

NVOCC & Documentation Services

As a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) partner, we issue house bills of lading, consolidate shipments, and manage carrier relationships for flexible routing and competitive rates.

Project Cargo & Heavy Lift

End-to-end management for large project shipments including route surveys, engineering, permits, and heavy-lift arrangements with specialist vessels or breakbulk carriers.

Port Agency & Terminal Services

Local port agency services, stevedoring supervision, customs gate handling and coordination with terminal operators to minimize dwell time.

Global Network & Carrier Partnerships

We partner with major liner carriers, regional feeders and local port agents to provide regular sailings, competitive space and flexible routing. Our network connects major trade lanes and key transshipment hubs.

  • Major international lanes (Asia ↔ Europe, Asia ↔ Africa, Europe ↔ Americas)
  • Feeder & transshipment solutions for secondary ports
  • Integrated inland drayage and rail/road connections

How Ocean Shipments Work

1. Quotation & Booking

Provide cargo description, dimensions, weight, INCOTERMS and preferred routing. We confirm sailings, equipment availability and provide a competitive quote.

2. Container Stuffing / Port Delivery

Cargo is stuffed into containers at origin or delivered directly to the port terminal. For LCL, goods arrive at the consolidation warehouse for stuffing into shared containers.

3. Port Handling & Vessel Transport

Container is loaded onto the vessel. We coordinate with carriers and agents for port operations and update you at key milestones (load, vessel departure, ETA).

4. Transshipment & Final Port Handover

If transshipment is required, we manage feeder connections and ensure timely transfer to the connecting vessel. At destination port we coordinate terminal operations for discharge.

5. Customs & Inland Delivery

We manage import clearance, container picking at the depot and final inland delivery via our road/rail partners — or arrange container return and empty pick-up as required.

Documentation & Regulatory Requirements

Typical documentation: bill of lading (B/L), commercial invoice, packing list, certificates of origin, insurance, and any special permits for restricted goods. We prepare and verify documents to reduce delays at ports and customs.

Bill of Lading Types

We issue different B/L types depending on your needs — master B/L from the carrier and house B/L when consolidated through an NVOCC.

Customs Compliance

Import/export compliance checks, tariff classification (HS codes), and duties estimation are handled by our customs specialists to reduce risk and fines.

Container & Equipment Options

  • Standard containers: 20' and 40' (including 40' HC)
  • Reefer containers for temperature-sensitive cargo
  • Open-top & flat rack containers for oversized goods
  • Tank containers for liquids and chemicals (subject to regulation)
  • Breakbulk and project vessel arrangements

Tracking, Insurance & Claims

Track your ocean shipments with the bill of lading number and receive milestone updates (loaded, departed, ETA, discharged). We offer cargo insurance options to protect against loss, damage and marine risks.

Claims Process

In case of damage or loss, notify us and your insurer immediately. We will guide you through documentary evidence collection and liaise with carriers and surveyors until resolution.

Sustainability & Environmental Practices

Ocean freight is one of the most carbon-efficient transport modes per ton-km. We support low-emission routing, carbon reporting and advise on eco-friendly packaging to reduce waste and improve load efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does ocean freight take?

Transit depends on the route and service chosen. Typical intercontinental sailings range from 10–45 days. Exact transit times are confirmed at booking and depend on vessel schedules, transshipment and port handling.

What is the difference between FCL and LCL?

FCL means your goods occupy a full container; LCL means your goods are consolidated with other shippers' cargo in a shared container. FCL is faster and reduces handling; LCL is cost-efficient for small consignments.

Can you handle customs clearance at destination?

Yes — we provide customs brokerage services, duties calculation and clearance support at many destination ports. Please confirm availability for your specific destination when booking.
